Together, let’s close out a wild and crazy 2020!
Join the Oregon OD Network for an evening of connection, fun and frivolity.
Beat the COVID blues. Gather with your friends and colleagues. Meet new folks in the Network. Get dressed up with your favorite holiday sweater and assemble for our annual holiday party, this year featuring the Zoom Room.
Come one, come all! We will celebrate ourselves and others, play games, get to know intriguing Board members, show off our wild holiday sweaters and give away great prizes. Bring your favorite libation and just have fun while meeting and celebrating with your colleagues.
Well into the New Year, you will be talking about the fun connections we had:
- With our rich story-telling
- Inside small group Zoom rooms
- Playing interactive games
- Holding a festive, competitive sweater contest with a prize
Your Donation Supporting Local Non-Profit Organizations
In the spirit of the season, give back to those in need this year. When you RSVP, you'll have an opportunity to support two local non-profits - Street Roots and Transition Projects. Donations will be split evenly between these two organizations.
Transition Projects provides life-saving, life-changing services to some of Portland’s most vulnerable residents. Each year, approximately 10,000 people experiencing homelessness receive shelter, medical care, and social services, while more than 1,000 people obtain affordable housing. Driven by a vision to end homelessness, Transition Projects delivers ongoing programs, resources and tools to aid those moving from the streets towards life stability.
Street Roots creates income opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and poverty by producing a newspaper and other media that are catalysts for individual and social change.Street Roots publishes weekly and the paper is purchased by vendors for $.25 who sell the paper for $1.00. The vendor keeps the $.75 and any customer tips. Street Roots also provides opportunities for personal expression and growth, lifting up the voices and stories of people experiencing homelessness and poverty. Find vendor contributions by subscribing online, reading award-winning journalism and vendor poetry, and buying the paper from (while getting to know) the vendors in the area.
