Overview

Most organizations today are facing unprecedented competitive pressures which are exacerbated in these slower economic times. The days of raising prices solely to increase profits are gone because the marketplace largely determines pricing.

The best way to increase profitability is to control the cost structure. The best way to control costs is by improving process efficiency. In this session, you will learn about:

• The vital role that OD has in process improvement.
• The three levels of process improvement.
• An overview of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Rummler-Brache and 7-step problem solving.
• Tips on what to do, and not do, when taking on process work as an OD consultant. Our Presenter:

Presenter

David Kraft has 13 years of process improvement, project management and OD experience in manufacturing, health care and financial services. He currently is a Process Architect with Standard Insurance. David started with Standard in 2007 and focuses on leading process improvement projects, project management and developing process metrics. He has held positions at Kaiser Permanente, Chrysler, DTE Energy and SEH America.

Parking

Paid parking available in the lot at University Place at $3.00. Some nights the booth has no attendant, so itΉs free then. There is metered parking on nearby streets at the rate of $1.25 per hour until 7pm when it is free. Some spaces may be available on Lincoln Avenue directly in front of University Place. Many more open spaces can be found to the West of University Place on Fourth Avenue and also on side streets to the West of 4th.

Pre-Meeting: 5:00 - 6:00 pm (Meet in the restaurant called Encore 310. Come and meet your colleagues and have a bite to eat!)
KickOff: 6:00 – 6:30 PM
Program: 6:30 - 8:15 PM
Closing and Announcements: 8:15 - 8:30 pm

All sessions and meetings will meet in the Multnomah Falls Room at University Place.

Cost

Meeting attendance is free for chapter members. The cost for non-members is $10. The fee can be used to offset the membership fee if paid at the program.
