Co-Creating ODN Monthly Programs

with You!

Overview

The opportunity of co-creating your ODN Oregon Chapter meeting program for 2006-2007 is getting closer! Only a week is left to firm up your themes-of-interest or topics that you feel passionately about and want to see included in the 2006-2007 program schedule. The purpose of the January 11th meeting is to:

• Engage your best energy in building the exciting, interesting, and valued 2006-2007 program content and flow based on topics and themes you feel strongly about.
• Unleash the talent within the ODN OREGON Chapter.
• Give direction and content to the development themes that increase our contribution and value to our employer organizations, our clients, and the OD community as OD practitioners.
• Build the program focus and content that taps into and takes advantage of the incredible learning and developmental resource within our own organization.

To prepare yourself for this engaging evening of planning:

• Think about your personal OD practice. In what crucial areas could you be doing more? What could you be doing that would demonstrate organizational leadership and add value to the work you do?
• What do you care deeply about; feel passionately about that you want share with this community? How could you help others within this community grow and develop?
• What gaps in your capabilities or awareness as an OD practitioner would you like to bridge as a result of being a developer and a learner in this community?

The "COOL IDEA” template is intended to help you organize your preparation thinking and how you will advocate for your learning theme and topics during the January 11th meeting. On Wednesday, January 11th we will be using a modified open-space process to help us as a learning community map out what we will be addressing and experiencing in the future. If you would like to know more about the open-space process log onto www.openspaceworld.org where you will find an abundance of information about this engaging and exciting group process.

Program is from 6:45 - 8:15 pm.

There is no restaurant on site. Food is allowed in the meeting room. There is also a good selection of restaurants and take out shops in the area.

Networking is encouraged, so come early -- say 6 PM -- for some delightful conversation with colleagues!

Prior to the meeting, everyone is invited to meet at Stanfords (just off Kruse Way, Lake Oswego) from 5:15 - 6:30 pm to join others for conversation and a no-host dinner.
