[Return to ODN Oregon Meeting Calendar]
June 8, 2005
Overview
Everyday we can read a story in the news about misbehaving corporate executives. Whether it is a company's failure to consider its impact on the environment, its treatment of employees, or the ethical behavior of executives executing their fiduciary responsibilities, corporate misconduct is both newsworthy and shocking. This session will engage OD network participants in a dialogue about the notion of the Organization Shadow, ways to understand shadow behavior (both conscious and unconscious), and explore interventions that can be used by OD practitioners.
Speaker
Karin Kolodziejski, PhD, owner of MetaSkills Consulting, will lead the presentation. Karin is a seasoned OD consultant who has spent over 20 years consulting with organizations both as an internal and external OD practitioner. Her presentation will draw from her recently completed doctoral dissertation on The Shadow Side of Organizational Life.
