Overview
Many OD professionals are curious about sustainability and are worried about major social and environmental problems, but they haven't figured out how to get their organizations interested or are uncertain how they can contribute to solutions. In this session, Darcy Hitchcock will explain how she transformed her OD practice into promoting sustainable business practices. You'll learn how to sell the importance of sustainability to top executives and how to build a business case to uncover both threats and opportunities. She'll cover a flexible step-by-step process for implementing sustainability as a strategic business initiative that will enhance your competitiveness and bottom line. And for organizations that don't yet have top management support, Darcy will also cover guerrilla tactics, showing you where to embed sustainability into things your organization already does. You'll discover how skills and techniques you already possess can be powerful contributors to building a sustainable society. If you want to make the world a better place AND prepare your organization for important trends in this century, don't miss this session.
