Community Consulting Project
Overview
The Community Consulting Program (CCP) is an outreach program sponsored
by the Organizational Development Network of Oregon (ODN-OR). CCP brings
together dynamic, short-term teams of OD/Training professionals to provide
free consultation to Portland area, non-profit organizations unable to
afford consulting services. Utilizing volunteers from our organizations,
we form Consulting Teams of 2 - 4 individuals, backed by a Senior Consultant
with 10-20 years of consulting experience. CCP teams
work with a client for 2-4 months to complete an appropriate client
project.
Why Are We Doing This?
ODN-Oregon seeks to advance the profession of Organizational Development.
This program provides an opportunity to meet two important goals:
- Increase community awareness of the value of OD in enhancing the success
of organizations
- Provide opportunities for OD professionals to learn, to network, and
to serve.
The Community Consulting Program represents a WIN-WIN for the ODN-Oregon,
our members, and our community.

Here what our clients have to say:
Working with the CCP was an unbelievable opportunity for our organization.
We are a small, grass roots non-profit and we wouldn't have been able
to afford such expertise and extended support.
Joanna Dyer, SCRAP (Winter 07)
After significant initial success as an advocacy coalition, our 10-year-old
organization faced a crisis in future direction. We were fortunate to
be selected as one of CCP's first clients. CCP consultants helped us identify
core issues, plan a board retreat, and then ably facilitated a highly
successful meeting where we addressed issues critical to organizational
growth and development. Their support allowed us to get the basics under
control so we could move ahead as an organization.
Kathryn Firestone, Director, Coalition for School Funding (Spring 05)
I just want to send a big thank you to you and your associates for
your help with our retreat. I think that it was an easier and more productive
exercise for us with your expertise and guidance. We really appreciate
your help, and we look forward to following up with you as we move forward.
Thank you.
Ellen Margolis, Board Chairperson, ASIA
You each know we have gone through a two-year process to complete
the national Alliance of Information & Referral Systems Accreditation.
We passed. Thank you, Community Consulting Project! They loved the dashboard,
and they were very impressed with the new report I'm using based on the
goals we defined. Thanks again for your incredible support -- please join
the staff in feeling incredibly proud.
